12.7- Similar Solids

Today we did an investigation on Similar Solids, and discovered the relationships of the surface areas and volumes of similar solids.  If you were absent, please do the investigation from your textbook on Page 846.

Tonight's homework  is P. 850-851 #3,7,9,16,17, and 21.

Also, here is a video if you are having trouble understanding this topic: http://www.brightstorm.com/math/geometry/similarity/similarity-and-volume-ratios

Also, we have the last portion of our Study Project Due on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. (See below for terms)
And finally, we have our next Cumulative Test on Chapters 1-12 (everything since the beginning of the year) on Wednesday and Thursday next week (April 6 and 7)

Chapter 12 Terms
Prism (Surface Area and Volume)
Cylinder (Surface Area and Volume)
Pyramid (Surface Area and Volume)
Cone (Surface Area and Volume)
Sphere (Surface Area and Volume)
Similar Solids Theorem
